Description
The calibration techniques implemented within VICALOPS have been thoroughly tested and validated using the DIMITRI toolbox on a variety of satellite data, with detailed error assessments carried out to ensure accuracy.
VICALOPS automates the following processes:
- Extracting site data,
- Assessing cloud coverage within each product,
- Running calibration methods weekly
- Reporting
A synthesis of the results is produced, and a report is generated for all sensors monitored by the system. VICALOPS currently supports the following sensors, starting from their first post-launch acquisition:
- MODIS (Terra and Aqua),
- VIIRS,
- Landsat 8 and 9,
- Sentinel-2/MSI (A and B),
- Sentinel-3/SLSTR (A and B),
- Sentinel-3/OLCI (A and B),
- Historical sensors such as MERIS, VEGETATION, ATSR2/AATSR, and PARASOL.
